Minneapolis' own Friends By Fire offer up their debut album, “Borneo”. The 40-minute album features tightly crafted, synth-filled sing-alongs, as well as swells of acoustic instrumentation that fill a concert hall or a pair of headphones. Stylistically, the band borrows from 80's acts like The Cars and New Order fused with heavy electronics akin to Crystal Castles and Cold Cave.
At present, Friends By Fire is rehearsing for live performances while preparing new material for their follow up EP later for release this winter.
Bandmates include Brady Busselman on guitars, Steven Schmidt on drums, and Jeff Hollander on keys, guitars and vocals.
